Types of Vacancies or Railways Jobs and the details of their Recruitment:
Types of Railway Jobs are categorized in to Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D positions that will be recruited by Different Railway Recruitment Boards. And the categories of Group A, Group B positions will comes under Gazetted Officer Category and Group C, Group D category jobs in indian railways will come under Non-gazetted category positions. Presently 19 RRBs to recruit Group C and D posts. Details of these positions are shown below as.
Group 'A' Posts - Group A category jobs in Indian Railways will be recruited by Union Public Service Commission of India known as UPSC and they will be appointed following the process of selection followed for Civil Service Exam, Engineering Service Exam, and Combined Medical Service Examination.
Railway Group B jobs 2014Group 'B' Posts - Group B Category Jobs in Indian Railways will be recruited through the process of Deputation etc. The Group B category jobs in railways comes under Section Officers Grade -and the Group C category employees will be upgraded and recruited in to these posts on deputation basis.
Railway Group C jobs 2014:Group 'C' Posts - Group C Category Jobs in Indian Railways are known as Technical and Non-Technical cadre posts like Clerk, Station Master Ticket Collector, Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, Engineering posts (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Signal & Telecommunication) etc. Candidates who have completed their Diploma, B.Tech in relevant subject disciplines through different streams from any recognized board or institute or University will be recruited through the corresponding Railway Recruitment Board Notifications.
